Almost 400 Vietnamese and foreign reporters have registered to cover the 44th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to be hosted by Vietnam for the first time.

According to the organizing board, about 40 events, including an opening ceremony, two plenary sessions and 14 seminars, will be held during the meeting, which will take place at the National Convention Centre in Hanoi from May 3-6.

A fully equipped Media Centre will be set up at the National Convention building for about 100 journalists, and booths for news agencies will be open from May 3 to 6.

In the framework of the meeting, various events will also be held, such as Vietnam Day Programme, a conference on business and investment, workshops on infrastructure, electricity and clean water, and fairs to introduce opportunities for trade, investment and tourism, as well as cultural activities in Hanoi.
