Vietnamese pray for good luck in France

(VOV) - Despite living far from home, Vietnamese nationals residing in France go to a pagoda on the outskirts of Paris on New Year’s Day to pray for good luck, happiness and prosperity.

Hundreds of Buddhist followers gathered inside the pagoda on February 1, (Lunar New Year’s Day), to attend the ritual presided over by superior monk Thich Phuoc Duong.

Truc Tham Thien Vien, a Vietnamese built pagoda, is located Neuchatel Street, about 20km south of Paris. It is home to Buddhist followers when the lunar New Year comes.
