Wushu martial artists won three gold medals for the Vietnamese team on the 10th day of competition at the 26th SEA Games, bringing the country’s total golds to 92.  

The most recent gold medal went to Phan Van Hau in the men’s Sanshou under 60 kg event as he easily defeated his Philippine rival in the final match.

Earlier, Tan Thi Ly beat Mariane Mariano from the Philippines in the same event for women in the under 56kg category and her teammate, world champion Nguyen Thi Bich, thrashed Hla Hla Win from Myanmar in the women’s under 48kg event to bag the second and third gold medals for the Vietnamese wushu team.

Tran Thi Mai Hung triumphed over her Philippine opponent to top the women’s individual standard chess event.

Meanwhile, Vietnamese athletes Nguyen Tien Phuong, Vu Ba Dong and Tran Thi Thu Ha collected a total of 20,792 points to win the mixed-trios aerobic event.
