Amazon Web Services stands behind Vietnamese startup community

Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon, is promoting the AWS Activate programme to support the growth of startups in Vietnam.

According to Paul Chen, head of Solutions Architect, ASEAN at AWS, the company provides startups with the low cost, easy to use infrastructure needed to scale and grow. The AWS Activate programme will provide Vietnamese startups with the resources they need to quickly get started on AWS—including credits, training, and support.

“We have Portfolio packages for startups in select accelerators, incubators, seed/VC funds, and other startup enabling organisations, as well as the Builders package for entrepreneurs just getting started,” he said, noting that some of the world’s hottest startups use AWS, including Airbnb, Lyft, and Slack.

Amanotes is a successful Vietnamese startup with technology backup from AWS. The startup builds a music eco-system with games and apps, and brings good music experience to users around the globe.

Amanotes' popular products like Magic Tiles 3, Tap Tap Reborn 2, and Dancing Ballz have reached more than 100 million users globally. The startup is also on the top charts of Google Play Store and the iOS App Store.

According to Tran Quang Thuan, chief technology officer of Amanotes, the startup uses AWS’ platform to serve millions of active daily users. With data centre locations in the US, Europe, Brazil, Singapore, Japan, and Australia, AWS helps Amanotes ensure stable connection with users worldwide.

The AWS Cloud spans 55 Availability Zones within 18 geographic Regions and 1 Local Region around the world, with announced plans for 12 more Availability Zones and four more Regions in Bahrain, Hong Kong SAR, Sweden, and a second AWS GovCloud Region in the US.
