France’s Honorary Senator, who is former Co-President of the High-level Council for the Development of French-Vietnamese Economic Cooperation, Jacques Oudin, has been awarded Vietnam’s Order of Friendship.
Vietnam’s deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, Cao Viet Sinh awarded the order to the French Senator in Paris on October 7 to mark his 70th birthday.
Born in the south central city Da Nang, Jacques Oudin joined the group of senators for France-Vietnam friendship in 1990 and was selected chairman of the group from 1998-2004.
The reward was in recognition of Jacques Oudin’s active contribution to promoting the France-Vietnam friendship.
