Meteor shower expected on October 22
(VOV) - Astronomy lovers in Vietnam will have the chance to see 25-30 meteors blazing across the sky every hour from midnight until dawn on October 22.
Dang Vu Tuan Son, chairman of the Vietnam Amateur Club of Astronomy (VACA), said this is one of the biggest meteor showers in 2012.
The best time for people to see the natural phenomenon will be from 0-4 am when the moon sets in the west.
Astronomy lovers will only need to find suitable places without using any special tools to see Orion stars rising.
