Mexican President, Felipe de Jesus Calderon Hinojosa, stated that Vietnam, China, India and a number of Eastern European countries will become big markets for various Mexican consumer products by 2030.

Addressing a ceremony at the placing of a time box in Mexico City’s Metropolitan Cathedral, the President expressed hope that Mexico will become one of the five biggest economies in the world by 2030, with a US$29,000 per capita income per year, compared with the current US$8,000.

The time box contains music, photographs, movies and messages from Mexican politicians, scientists and athletes plus other documents about the country’s situation and plan to develop the nation until 2030.

The time box will be opened in 2030 to evaluate the changes in the Central American country.
