Gathering promotes Vietnam-Belarus friendship

The Vietnam-Belarus Friendship Association organized a friendship exchange on June 19 to mark the 75th Independence Day of Belarus and the 75 years of Belarus’s liberation.

President of the Vietnam-Belarus Friendship Association Nguyen Thai Lai said Vietnam and Belarus have had sound relations, evidenced by visits made at all levels along with economic, cultural and trade exchanges, and signed agreements.

He asserted that Vietnamese people always remember Belarus’s assistance during their years of difficulties and that his association will work as a bridge for the cooperation and friendship between the two countries.

Attending the event, Ambassador of Belarus to Vietnam Vladimir Goshin said 2019 marks important events in the two countries’ ties, especially cultural exchanges held by the Vietnam-Belarus Friendship Association.

Participants at the event were treated with performances by the famous Belarusian dancing group “Rovesnik”, which comes at the invitation of the Embassy of Belarus in Vietnam
