The gold medal went to Nguyen Ngoc Trung, a 12^th grade student from the Hung Vuong Secondary School in the northern province of Phu Tho.

Four silver medals were bagged by Pham Viet Cuong and Nguyen Kieu Hieu, both 12^th grade students from the Le Quy Don Secondary School in Da Nang City; Tran Thai Hung, an 11^th grade student from the Practical Secondary School under the Ho Chi Minh City Teachers’ University and Vu Dinh Long, also an 11^th grade student from the Hanoi College of Natural Sciences.

Nguyen Minh Hieu, another 12^th grade student from the Hanoi College of Natural Sciences, won bronze medal.

With four medals, Vietnam came out on top at the Olympiad.
