Vietnam snatched two gold and two silver medals at the fourth Asian Women Boxing Championship in India in September.

While Nguyen Thi Hoa and Ngo Thi Nhung succeeded in their finals bouts in the 46kg and 54kg events respectively, their two teammates, Ngo Thi Phuong (48kg) and Nguyen Thi Vui (57kg), failed to beat their rivals to bring the country two silvers.

The championship, which took place in Guwahati, India, saw women boxers from Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Macau, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, the Democratic of People’s Republic of Korea, the Republic of Korea and host India.
