At the meeting, Mr Minh introduced major contents of the draft report and affirmed that Vietnam is actively coordinating with the Secretariat and other members of the UNSC to complete the report on schedule, meeting member countries’ expectations and helping increase the council’s operational efficiency.

The UNSC members welcomed Vietnam’s initiative to hold the meeting, which they said will contribute to reforming the council’s working methods. They said that with efforts made by Vietnam and other countries, the annual report will give a comprehensive analysis of important peace and security issues in the council’s agenda.
