In photos: Train hits truck leaving 2 dead, 8 injured

VOV.VN -Two people were killed and 8 injured when a train collided with a truck at around 1am on May 24 in the northern central province of Thanh Hoa.

According to initial information, the SE train was travelling from north to south when it collided with a truck at a level crossing in Truong Lam Commune.
The force of the impact caused the truck to overturn and six of the train’s passenger carriages were derailed.
According to the local police force, the train driver and his assistant were trapped inside the locomotive and died as a result of their injuries.
It took the local search and rescue team several hours to recover the two bodies from the locomotive.
The truck driver and injured passengers were transferred to nearby hospitals for medical care.
