VOVNews website has coordinated with the Labour Confederation Chapter in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City to organize a cooking contest entitled “Family Culinary Art”. The contest, which took place on June 17, attracted 50 pairs of candidates to prepare 50 meals respectively, each for four diners.
Contestants showed their skills in cooking various dishes ranging from simple to sophisticated ones. The dishes had to meet normal nutrition requirements and be well-presented.
The judges, including some expert cooks, presented one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes, and 10 consolation prizes to the winners. Awards also included one for the fastest cooked dish and three for the best chicken dishes.
The competition was sponsored by Tan Binh Vegetable Oil Company and such firms as Vedan, Vissan, CP and Seven-Star Hotel.
