Tra Vinh province in the Mekong Delta will create jobs and allocate land to local Khmer through a US$68.75 million project running from now to 2010.


The province will provide land for cultivation to 14,000 households, and land for housing to 2,500 households.


It will also offer vocational training for 23,400 people and jobs for another 26,800 by 2010.


The Khmer ethnic minority now accounts for 29.4 percent of the province’s population.
