Microsoft will provide over US$300,000 for information technology training in Vietnam in 2007 as part of the group's Topic 64 project for 15 Asian countries, said Microsoft Vietnam on December 20.

The project’s IT training programme will be extended to 64 community-based technology centres and 500 vocational training centres across the country, benefiting about 60,000 learners and 1,000 teachers.

The project has assisted 15,000 Vietnamese people in the past six months.
