Vietnamese cinema needs int’l cooperation

(VOV) -Vietnamese cinema needs to expand its cooperation on production and publishing with international organizations to access cutting-edge technology and quality art concepts, said foreign filmmakers.

They made the proposals at a conference themed Vietnamese Cinema in Renewal State held in the capital city on November 26 as part of the second Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF).

Participants reviewed the development of Vietnamese cinema since the renewal process started in 1986, especially its socialization and international integration since 2000.

They agreed that Vietnamese cinema has developed remarkably in recent years with the active cooperation between private producers and state filmmakers.

Many films focused on interesting themes have attracted large audiences, even though they are not of high artistic values.
