Regionally based artists and musicians from Laos, Cambodia and Malaysia will join local troupes in performing at the famed Central Highland Gong Cultural Festival 2007.
While a date has yet to be set for the festival that takes place in Buon Ma Thuot City and the Krong Ana commune, in Dak Lak province, organisers have said that it would kick off sometime in October.
The festival is aimed at promoting the UNESCO recognized Central Highland gong culture and uniting the people of the Central Highlands.
Gong recitals, street music performances, elephant races, sculptures and a photo exhibition on the Central Highlands are all slated to be included in the festivities.
