Thirty four fishermen and seven fishing vessels that were seized by the Philippines on May 30, 2011, about 2km from Palawan, are on their way to Vietnam.

This information was released on November 11 by the Vietnamese embassy in the Philippines. It reported that the Vietnamese ambassador to the Philippines, Nguyen Van Tu, had signed the documents for Vietnam to receive the boats and fishermen.

Previously, 88 fishermen returned to Vietnam after a court hearing in Palawan ended on August 26.
