The Prime Minister has signed Decision 853/QD-TTg allowing students to borrow loans worth VND1 million/month/per capita.
The preferential interest rate will be adjusted from 0.5 percent/month to 0.65 percent/month as from August 1, 2011.
The government leader has asked the Ministry of Finance to cooperate with the Ministry of Planning and Investment and relevant agencies in ensuring an adequate supply of capital so that Vietnam Bank for Social Policies can offer preferential loans for students.
