Both host and guest exchanged experiences in building up the army and vowed to continue to exchange military delegations at all levels. They also agreed to conduct joint sea patrols and join hands in issues of common concern for peace, stability and development in the region and the world at large.

Lt. Gen. Nghien said the visit by the Chinese PLA officer and a high-level delegation from the PLA’s General Staff would help bolster the friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the two peoples and the two armies.

The same day, Sen. Lt. Gen. Liang Guanglie paid a courtesy visit to Defence Minister Sen. Lt. Gen. Phung Quang Thanh.
