Binh Thuan province set sights on Thai investors at a seminar on investment opportunities held in Bangkok on June 6.

Speaking at the seminar, Chairman of the Binh Thuan provincial People's Committee Huynh Van Ti said that his province reached GDP growth of 12 percent in recent years with an open-door policy.

Fourty-one projects with a total of US$150 million in foreign direct investment have been reached. Local authorities have implemented policies on tax reduction, simplification of administrative procedures and enhancement of infrastructure in order to meet foreign investment demands, he said.

At the seminar, which was jointly organised by the Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee and Thailand's National Bureau of Agricultural Commodities and Food Standards, the chairman also called on Thai investors to invest in the province's trade, tourism, services and industrial production.
