Toyota Vietnam awards 115 scholarships to students

(VOV) - Toyota Vietnam on January 24 granted scholarships worth VND4 million each to 59 outstanding students at nine universities in northern Vietnam.

This is part of Toyota Scholarship Programme 2014 for outstanding students majoring in techniques, engineering and environment across the country. This year, Toyota Vietnam will grant 115 scholarships with a total value of VND460 million to students from 16 universities.

At the award ceremony, President of the Toyota Vietnam Fund (TVF) Yoshihisa Maruta said 2015 marks the 20th anniversary of Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) operating in the country. TMV will pay more effort to expand its contribution to society, focusing on traffic safety, education, sports and culture, he revealed.

Since its establishment in Vietnam, TMV has contributed more than US$19 million to social activities in the country.
