First Uzbekistan footballers arrived in Hanoi on Thursday afternoon for the VTV-T&T Cup, which runs from April 16-20, according to the Vietnam Football Federation.
They will have warm-up exercises on Friday afternoon.
Two other visiting teams, Iran and Australia, are due to fly to Vietnam on Friday.
The national U23 squad and the three foreign teams will compete in a round robin format and games will take place at My Dinh national stadium.
The football tournament will furnish Vietnamese footballers with more experience in preparation for the upcoming 15th ASIAD competition.
