More than 80 businesses from nine provinces and cities, including Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, Ha Tay, Thai Nguyen, Yen Bai, Son La and Bac Giang have their products on display including footwear, utensils, garment, and foodstuff.

This is the first time the fair has been held in Thai Nguyen province and it will help domestic businesses to introduce their products and promote their trademarks. Local customers will also have the chance to buy quality products at reasonable prices.

Participating businesses are promoting their products in a variety of ways, for example the Viet Cuong Fashion Company from Hanoi has reduced its prices by 40 percent on all its products while the World Digital Joint Stock Company from Thai Nguyen is offering a free mobile phone to any customer who buys a computer.

Beforehand, the organizing board had directed all participating businesses not to sell low quality or out of date products.

The fair will run until June 17.
