The AFC has announced that the Asia Futsal Championships will take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from May 21-28. The top 13 teams of the 2005 tournament will enter the final rounds and three others, including Vietnam, will have to compete in the qualifying rounds.
Vietnam’s Futsal team will compete against Maldives, Cambodia, Malaysia and Turkmenistan in the qualifying rounds in Malaysia in April.
During the previous tournament, Vietnam had two wins, one draw and three losses and did not pass the qualifying rounds.
