The Japanese government has offered Vietnam US$170,750 in non-refundable aid to build two schools in the Mekong delta province of Tra Vinh.

An agreement to this effect was signed at the Japanese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City on October 24.

The two schools, one for junior secondary students and the other for secondary students, will be located in the districts of Tieu Can and Cau Ke, which are facing a shortage of classrooms.
