The first copyright trading floor dedicated to copyright transactions opened in Ho Chi Minh City on April 26 to mark the World Copyright Day (April 26).

At its first session, many works were sold at high prices such as Ho Chi Minh’s complete works (VND150 million), 10 sets of calendars designed by students from Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts University (VND60 million), and embroidered painting with the signatures of 100 first Vietnamese record-makers from various fields (VND60 million).

The floor, which helps bring together authors and businesses, is scheduled to operate like an auction floor and open one session every month with assistance from the Vietnam Book and Directory (Vietbooks), the Vietnam Copyrights Service Company (Vietcopyrights) and the Copyright Department under the Ministry of Culture and Information.
