Vietnam, Japan jointly produce special drama

VOV.VN - Vietnamese and Japanese artists performed the drama "Vịt trời trúng độc" (Poisoned Wild Duck) at Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre in Japan on March 19-26.

The drama is a part of the cooperation project between Japan’s Edo Marionette Theater Youkiza and Vietnam’s Youth Theatre.

The drama is based on “The Wild Duck”, an 1884 play by the Norwegian playwright Henrick Ibsen.

Artists of the two countries spent two months on preparing for the special drama.

All tickets were sold out. Workshops and exchanges were held on the sidelines of the drama attracting hundreds of Japanese critics and directors.

“Poisoned Wild Duck” will be performed in Hanoi’s Youth Theatre and Haiphong Opera House in May.
