The diary of fallen female Vietnamese soldier Dang Thuy Tram has been published recently in Germany by German publisher Kruger Verlag.
The book is entitled: Last Night I Dreamt of Peace: the Diary of Dang Thuy Tram.
Prof. Guenter Giesenfeld, president of the Germany-Vietnam Friendship Association, wrote a 10-page article in the association’s magazine Vietnam Kurier, reviewing the contents and readers’ comments on the book.
Tram, a Hanoi girl, volunteered to move to Duc Pho district of the central province of Quang Ngai to work as a doctor during the Vietnam War. She was killed at the age of 27. Her diary, which details the horrors of the war, has been published in several languages, including English, Japanese, Korean and Romanian.
