Vietnamese businesses additionally invested in seven projects abroad with a total registered capital of US$35 million in the first five months of this year, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
The projects, located in Laos, Cambodia, the US, Malaysia and Singapore, include a US$10.5 million project to build the Phnom Penh-Cho Ray Hospital in Cambodia and a US$21.94 million project on oil and gas exploration and exploitation in Singapore.
Since 1989, Vietnamese businesses have invested US$656 million in 157 projects in 32 foreign countries and territories, the ministry said.
