The Vietnamese embassy in Australia held a golf tournament to mark the 66th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and Vietnam’s National Day (September 2).
The competition, entitled “Vietnamese National Day Open”, attracted nearly 30 Vietnamese golfers who are living and working in Australia.
Golfer Diep Auyn won the top title with 39 points (according to the Stableford format), followed by Luat Nguyen and Lisheng Yu.
At the awards ceremony, Vietnamese ambassador to Australia, Hoang Vinh Thanh, expressed his hope that the tournament will become an annual event to strengthen ties among Vietnamese expatriates in Australia.
