More than 50 Vietnamese volunteer students from Ho Chi Minh City-based universities have been sent to the Lao provinces of Champasak and Attapu provinces to offer medical check-ups and treat 3,000 local residents.

The volunteers include those from universities of Medicine, Agriculture and Forestry, Foreign Language and Information Technology.

During the volunteer campaign which runs through August 15, the volunteers will exchange agricultural technology, teach information technology and present teaching equipment to local students.
