GM Liem draws again in US Spice Cup
(VOV) - Chess Grandmaster Le Quang Liem successfully held strong Chinese rival Ding Liren to a draw in his third match in the US Spice Cup on October 15.
His third draw after two matches against Germany’s George Meier and France’s Maxime Vachier-Lagrave helps the tournament’s defending champion earn 0.5 point more to share the second positions with Maxime, the Philippines’ Wesley So and Hungary’s Csaba Balogh with 0.5 point less than Meier.
In his next match, Liem will face Balogh, who is considered a weaker opponent with the Elo rating of 2,664.
