People’s Army Newspaper debuts online Lao, Khmer editions

The People’s Army Newspaper on October 20 launched its online editions in Lao and Khmer languages.

It will support the efforts to intensify Vietnam’s traditional friendship with Laos and Cambodia and help Lao and Cambodian readers to gain insight into what is happening in Vietnam.

Minister of Information and Communication Truong Minh Tuan affirmed that the debut of the Lao and Khmer editions marks the strong development of the People’s Army Newspaper and turns it into a multimedia and multilingual press outlet.

They will be important channels disseminating the Vietnam Party and State’s policies, the image of Vietnam’s land and people, and the time-honoured relations between Vietnam and Laos and Cambodia, and preventing wrongful viewpoints distorting the relations.

The People’s Army Newspaper launched its online English edition in 2005 and the online Chinese edition in 2012.
