Judicial reform is one of the key tasks of the State and the legal system must keep pace with national development and international integration, State President Nguyen Minh Triet told voters in Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Binh and Tan Phu districts on April 12.

Mr Triet said the National Assembly’s law making should be renewed to remedy the current situation wherein too many documents guide the implementation of laws.

He said the fight against corruption has achieved many positive results, but graft still exists. He expressed his belief that with the Party, State and people’s determination, corruption will be cleaned up.

Voters in Tan Binh and Tan Phu districts said they were happy with the 11th National Assembly and appreciated the role and contributions of NA deputies to the development of Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the country in general.

They also expressed concern about shortcomings in the education and healthcare sectors, delayed construction and planning and corruption. They hoped that these problems will be considered and solved by the next National Assembly.
