Vietnam Television, VnMedia and Dan Tri news website co-organized the award ceremony of the 2008 Nhan Tai Dat Viet (Vietnamese National Talents) in Hanoi on the evening of November 20 with the attendance of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan.
Out of 204 information technology products from 400 candidates nationwide, nineteen entries were selected for the final round of the contest, held annually by the Vietnam Society of Study Encouragement to seek and honour IT talents.
A first prize, worth VND100 million, went to a website on Vietnam and world tourism and entertainment, www.skydoor.net. Two second prizes, each worth VND50 million, were presented to MVSAT, a software solution for the IP security of VINASAT satellite, and LABlink, a laboratory information system.
Other prizes were awarded in the following categories: For the Communal Benefit, Creativity, Future Prospects, Study Encouragement, Most Impressive, and Best Effort.
