Images of the most secret war bunker in Thang Long citadel

VOV.VN - The underground bunker D67 was the headquarters of the Central Military Commission during the Vietnam war.

It lies within House D67 in Thang Long citadel area.

The bunker was built in 1967 during the fierce US air war of destruction against northern Vietnam.

It is 9m deep and its structure is entirely bomb-proof. Two entrances to the bunker are opposite to Generals Vo Nguyen Giap and Van Tien Dung’s offices in House D67.

It includes four rooms.

The largest was used as the meeting room for the Political Bureau and Central Military Commission when necessary.

Telephone sets and radios are inside other rooms.

War objects are still kept in the underground bunker.
