Hanoi hosts national shooting champs

This year’s tournament attracted 200 marksmen and women from 12 of the country’s clubs and teams, including two particularly formidable army and police force contingents.

Athletes are competing in male and female divisions of pistols and air rifles at distances ranging from 10m to 25m.

The military team leads the rankings after two days of competition with seven gold, six silver, and two bronze medals. Hai Duong is in second with three gold, four silver and two bronze medals followed by Hanoi’s three gold, three silver, and three bronze medals.

The event, which will run until October 30, gives local shooters an opportunity to hone their skills and help select the best national team representatives for the 27^th Southeast Asian Games in Myanmar later this year.
