Congratulations to new UK Prime Minister

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on July 14 sent a congratulatory message to Theresa May on her assumption of Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK).

Theresa May took over as the UK's new Prime Minister on July 13. She replaced David Cameron after he stood down following the June 
23 vote to leave the European Union. 

May is the second female Prime Minister of the UK after Margaret Thatcher.

The same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh cabled congratulations to Foreign Secretary of the UK Boris Johnson.
