A film crew from the Cable News Network (CNN) Channel arrived in Hanoi on September 14 to make a video of Vietnamese tourism.

After visiting the capital city, the team will arrive in Ha Long bay which was recognised by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site and nominated as one of the World’s Seven Natural Wonders. Ha Long Bay will be the main image in the 30-second video clip of Vietnamese tourism on CNN.

After receiving approval from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the video clip will be broadcast 182 times on CNN as of October 2007 at prime time on weekdays and during weekends.

Earlier on September 4, the Prime Minister agreed to extract nearly VND4.7 billion to support promotion activities of trade, investment and tourism and assign the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to carry advertisements for Vietnamese tourism.
