WWF backs forest biodiversity conservation in Thua Thien-Hue

VOV.VN - The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) has committed US$3.5 million in financial support for forest biodiversity conservation in Thua Thien-Hue province until 2022.

The WWF also committed financial aid of more than US$100,000 to implement the Green Annamites project.

The commitment was made at a recent meeting in Hue between Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Dung and Prasanna De Silva, WWF Regional Director for Asia-Pacific.

Both sides reviewed the implementation of WWF projects in Thua Thien-Hue and discussed future plans under which Prasanna said his organisation will help Hue province with the second phase of the carbon and biodiversity (Carbi) program in Sao La Nature Reserve until 2023.
