Speaking at the event, Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son expressed his pleasure at the developing relations between the two countries and spoke highly of the Lighting Project and French Culture Week in Hanoi on the occasion of the capital city’s millennial anniversary. 

Ambassador Girault also affirmed a commitment to strengthening the relations of friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and France. 

At present, France is Vietnam’s leading European partner in trade, investment and development assistance.
