VOV.VN - Head of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan has highlighted the visit to Vietnam by the Austrian Federation of Trade Unions as an important landmark in the cooperative ties with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL).

Receiving President of the Austrian federation Erich Foglar in Hanoi on November 21,Quan greatly valued cooperation between the two countries’ trade unions and affirmed the Vietnamese Party and State's readiness to facilitate the VGCL's integration into the international community and  increased collaboration with the Austrian counterpart.

The CPV desires to bolster cooperation with the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPO) and considers this a political foundation for furthering bilateral relations in a multitude of fields, Quan told his guest.

Foglar for his part underscored the need to augment cooperation and experience sharing between trade unions in the digital era and the fourth industrial revolution to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of workers.

He said he hopes the CPV and the SPO will promote dialogues and information exchanges, adding that more effective measures will be taken to strengthen the relations between Vietnamese and Austrian trade unions.
