The third annual Belgian-Vietnamese Comic Festival opened at the Hanoi Library on May 31.
The week-long event on the theme, “From Idea to Comic Book”, is attended by well-known Belgian cartoonist, Jean- Claude Servais.
On display are 30 unique works by 11 young Vietnamese painters.
An exchange with cartoonist Servais and a seminar on professional skills for young local artists taking part in the event will also be held during the week.
The festival, co-organized by Kim Dong Publishers and the Wallonie-Bruxelles Delegation, provides an opportunity for book lovers to gain a better understanding of different cultures through comic books.
