Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Mai Ai Truc on June 13 presented the insignia "For the Cause of Environmental Protection" to Swedish Ambassador to Vietnam Anna Lindstedt.

The medal was presented in recognition of Ambassador Lindstedt's contributions to the implementation of projects in natural resources and environment in Vietnam.

Addressing the ceremony, the Ambassador expressed her thanks to the Ministry for the medal, while voicing her positive opinion on Vietnam's progress in poverty reduction and the improvements in people's awareness about an environmentally sustainable development.

Ambassador Lindstedt said that Sweden will continue to support Vietnam, particularly in the area of natural resources and environment.

According to the Embassy, the Ambassador will be honoured with the Medal "For the Cause of Inspection" by the Government Chief Inspector on June 15 for her contributions to the improvement of the inspection co-operation between Sweden and Vietnam.
