The council aims to expand co-operative relations between the two countries’ business communities in the fields of trade, investment, scientific technology, tourism and culture. It will be an effective channel for dialogue between businesses and government agencies and a link with Vietnamese trade and diplomatic agencies abroad. Through the council, obstacles arising in trade and investment relations will be discussed and removed.

Economic experts said that Russia is a potential market for Vietnamese export businesses, especially seafood. Since early this year, seafood exports to the country have increased by 35 percent to US$120 million. To further boost exports to the market, domestic businesses have accelerated trade promotion activities through exhibitions and seminars. 

According to businesses, joining exhibitions will provide them with the opportunity to meet partners and collect necessary market information.
