New tourist sites are nearing completion and more tours are expected to open, including tours to the Bach Ma-Lang Co-Chan May eco-tourism site and  visits to craft villages, Bao Vinh ancient street, and mountainous villages.

During 2006 Hue Festival, communal activities will be organised in addition to three main events - Nam Giao Festival, Truyen Lo Festival and the Royal Night Festival. Thua Thien-Hue province plans to hold the 2nd "Lang Co - a sea legendary" Festival with both modern and traditional sports and games from June 8-10.

In the Royal Palace area, royal banquets at the court of Can Chanh Palace are expected to draw 800 guests a night. Hue's food, including puddings and sweet soups, will also be  introduced to visitors at An Dinh Palace.
