Embassy in Germany celebrates Lunar New Year
(VOV) -A get together was held by the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany to celebrate the Lunar New Year Festival in Berlin on January 27.
Ambassador Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh expressed her gratitude for Germany’s activities to assist Vietnam in 2012, the first year of their strategic partnership.
She stressed the potential for tightening bilateral ties as nearly 120,000 Vietnamese people are working and studying in Germany and about the same number of Vietnamese residents who can speak German.
Ambassador Anh wished the Vietnamese community and German friends a happy New Year.
Clemens von Goetze, Head of the Political Directorate-General 3 under the German Federal Foreign Office, reviewed the results of Lighthouse Projects which are being implemented in Vietnam, as well as diplomatic exchanges in various fields between the two countries.
On the occasion, participants enjoyed Vietnam’s cultural programmes and special dishes.
