Over the past few days, tens of thousands of Vietnamese people, including heroic Vietnamese mothers, and foreigners have flocked to Kim Lien Relic Complex in central Nghe An province to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh on his 38th death anniversary (September 3).

Roads leading to Sen village where President Ho was born were packed with visitors from across the country. The visitors all wanted to offer incense to President Ho who led the Vietnamese people to overcome hardships and challenges and wrest back independence and freedom to the nation.

Ho Quoc Viet, a Party Politburo member and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission, and Nguyen The Trung, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, paid floral tributes to President Ho at his memorial house.

In a report delivered at the house, Mr Trung noted that Vietnamese people and those from Nghe An have constantly worked hard to make President Ho’s dream come true. He said Vietnam has successfully defended its independence, built a strong nation and gradually increased people’s well being. In addition, it has been implementing the Doi Moi (Renewal) process led by the Party and the campaign of “Studying and Following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example”.
