Beautifully restored vintage and classic cars and motor bikes were displayed at the Sofitel Metropole before touring Hoan Kiem Lake en route to SOS Village on Sunday October 28.

The vintage and classic examples of bygone eras in the automotive industry stood proudly in line opposite the Metropole looking for all the world like a movie scene from mid last century.

The vehicles, owned and polished by their enthusiastic owners, included vintage

Vespas, some with unique sidecars, Citroen and Peugeot automobiles from the 1930s to the 50s, a bright red Volkswagon beetle, a tiny Fiat 500 and other bikes and cars from the past.

The Sofitel’s inaugural Vintage Car Classic raised funds for the SOS Village in Hanoi, and the cars paraded around the lake before delivering gifts and money to assist the children at SOS.

On their return to the Metropole, visitors were treated to afternoon tea and a fashion parade by La Perla.
